The Somvalli, is the plant of Great medicinal importance and our early scriptures have reference of this unique plant that does not carry any leaf structure and yet of great importance in ayurveda. Its a genus that is nearly falling under the extinct category of plants, the mythological somras is presumed to have been extracted from this plant that kept our gods immortal for years .It belongs to the Genus sarostemma acidum.
Soil Type-Well drained Garden soil with very low watering once a week.
Outdoor plant :Expose full to partial sun light
Watering-Requires less water, once in 2-3 days during summers is sufficient
Fertiliser:Use Vermicompost or any organic Fertiliser every 3 months initially( a very slow growth plant )
