A Crockmeter is used for the determination of color Fastness of textiles against rubbing under either DRY or WET condition. Crockmeter Motorised is an advanced version of the hand operated Crockmeter. These machines are operated by a gear motor in which the arm moves in an oscillating motion over the test sample. A Pre-cut crocking cloth is mounted on the rubbing finger and is held in place with a spring clip. The finger is rests on the specimen with a force of 9 ± 10% N (917.43 gms). Motion to the finger is given by a Handle, which moves very smoothly on a Stainless Steel Movement Platform.
The equipment is operated by a gear motor, and the arm moves in an oscillating motion over the test specimen with a specified load & diameter (approximately of a fore-finger). The rubbing finger has a flat base which is covered with a piece of standard white crocking cloth, which in turn is held by a stainless steel spring clip and is made to move over the test sample in an oscillating motion. The crocking cloth picks up the color lost by the sample under test. A 3 digit reset counter is provided to enable it to take the desired number of rubs and the same is displayed on the digital counter. The Test specimen is held by the Abrasive paper with the help of an acrylic plate mounted on the solid base and the equipment is finished with a metallic paint adding to its aesthetic appeal.
