Our Products
We offer a complete product range of Maxos Transparent Gauge Glass, Toughened Glasses, Klinger Transparent Gauge Glass and Ilmadur Transparent Gauge Glass
the mechanical strength and pressure resistance of the transparent glasses is attained through the thermal pre-stressing, homogeneity, flatness, precise dimensions and flawless surface of safety glass.

we are offering klinger transparent gauge glass din 7081.
klinger transparent glasses are manufactured from borosilicate glass ("extra-hard"). the surfaces on both sides are finely grounded and polished to ensure optimal transparency. applications: in steam service above 35 bar and for media with a high ph-value, klinger transparent glasses must be protected by a mica shield on the side facing the medium chamber. transparent glasses should always be chosen for contaminated, viscous or corrosive media. within the given service limitations they may be used for all media except steam at pressures up to 340 bar or temperatures up to 400 deg c. types of transparent glasses: there are four different types of transparent gauge glasses: a, b, h und ta-28. dimensions, weight and field of application can be found in the product catalogue (pdf-document in the download area on right side). note: only klinger original parts guarantee a trouble free operation of the gauge glasses for a long time. therefore we recommend to use only original spare parts for gauge glasses, mica shields, sealing gaskets and cushion gaskets. quality control: klinger transparent glasses are subject to continuous control during manufacture in order to guarantee exact dimensions, stress conditions, material composition and resistance to bending strain. international standards: we manufacture transparent glasses in accordance to the following standards: oenorm m 7354 (long gauge glasses) din 7081 (long gauge plate glasses) jis b 8211 (japanese industrial standard) omv-spez. h 2009 (omv, vienna) mil-g-16356 d (us-navy-ships) esso eng. spec. 123 (esso research & engineering co., new jersey) s.o.d. spec. 123 (standard oil development company, new jersey) bs 3463 (british standard insitution)

gauge glasses are designed for continuous service temperature up to 280 c. Temperatures exceeding 280 c may cause the induced compressive stress to be relieved, reducing it to approximately 90% of its initial value following a service of 300 hours at 300 c, or about 70% for service temperature up to 320 c. The reduced compressive stress will also decrease the thermal shock resistance of the glasses. However, in some special cases depending on the actual service conditions (pressure, temperature, kind of media, kind of frame) it may be possible to use the tgi ilmadur transparent gauge glass for temperatures higher than 280 c. Tgi ilmadur transparent gauge glasses (e.g. Width 34mm) can be used for media with no significant glass attack (e.g. Oil, hydrocarbon) under the following service conditions. For media with significant glass attack (e.g. Saturated steam, alkali) we recommend the use of tgi ilmadur transparent gauge glasses along with protective mica shields for service pressure >35 bar. In any case the service operator has to check the actual and expected datas for the process, gauge glasses are used for.
