Fire proof door used as a passive fire protection item within buildings to prevent the spread of fire. Fire rated doors are designed to close automatically in the event of a fire or alarmed event. Fire Doors are a mandatory requirement & have established acceptance in high rise buildings, commercial buildings, auditoriums, manufacturing facilities and so forth. In certain applications, fire doors are required to minimize the transmission of heat from one side of the door to the other, as in the stairwell of a high rise building. If the door can limit the transmission of heat for a period of time, it is possible for people in a burning building to safely pass below the floor of fire origin. These doors are built with a specifically designed core and are referred to as temperature rise doors.The use and application of fire rated doors is governed by National Building Codes as well as local fire and building authorities and available in wood and stainless steel.
