The working principle of an Alternator is, mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy in a vehicle. The Alternator is a resource of electrical energy which will be stored in battery time to time.
The starter working principle is that the electrical energy is converted in to mechanical energy. It is designed as pre-engaged since the drive goes in to complete mesh with the flywheel ring gear before the cranking motor develops its full power.
IGNITION COIL The coil provides a high-voltage current to the distributor. it consist of primary and secondary winding coils.
As the name suggests, these are Glow Plugs which heatup in 2 or less seconds. These are part of the Instant Start System which comprises of an Electronic Control Unit as well. Hence the diesel engines can be started almost as quickly as a petrol engine.
