More about Industrial SyphonsSyphons are used to protect pressure gauges against pulsation of the medium and overheating. A syphon is installed at the thread connection of the pressure gauge or at the upstream fitted stop valve. A condensate is formed in the bend of the syphon, which prevents the hot medium from reaching the pressure-measuring instrument. Syphons isolate pressure instruments from high temperatures.
