Dos and Don'ts
As a result of a medical test, your doctor will determine if midostaurin is the most appropriate treatment for your condition before prescribing it to you.
A typical dose of midostaurin is taken two times per day with food (once every 12 hours). It is recommended that you take your doses at regular intervals so that your body can maintain a constant level of the drug. There may be a medication that you are given during your treatment with midostaurin to help prevent nausea or vomiting. Please do not take another dose of midostaurin if you vomit immediately after taking it.
