It is also known as Nitrilotri acetic acid trisodium salt, Triglycollamic acid trisodium salt, Na₃ NTA, Aminotriacetic acid or Tris (carboxymethyl) amine trisodium salt.

It is a Clear to pale yellow solution, soluble in water. It is produced by taking a reaction between NTA acid, caustic lye and DM water at higher temperature. NTA liquid is also called NTA solution, trisodium NTA liquid, trisodium NTA solution, liquid NTA, Nitrilo tri acetic acid trisodium salt solution or NL160.
