It is a white free flow powder, insoluble in water. It is also known as Nitrilotri acetic acid, Triglycollamic acid, Aminotriacetic acid or Tris (carboxymethyl) amine.

NTA liquid is also called NTA solution, trisodium NTA liquid, trisodium NTA solution, liquid NTA, Nitrilo tri acetic acid trisodium salt solution or NL160.
