Polyester Spun Yarn is available in counts like NE 20/1, 30/1, and so on.
It is mainly used for knitting and weaving to make polyester fabrics such as consumer fabrics and home furnishing.Spun yarn is also used in making Sewing thread and embroidery threads.
Polyester spun yarn can be Virgin made from Virgin Polyester Staple Fiber or Recycled Spun yarn made from Recycled PSF. Spun Yarn can be waxed which is used for knitting fabrics or un-waxed mainly used for weaving. PSY is commonly available in both single and double employ for use in Textile industry.
It can be Raw-white and dyed as well. Both dope-dyed spun yarn and conventional dyed spun yarn can be used to make fabrics.Spun yarn is also available with various levels of twist. 32 TPI (or 1200 TPM) and 38 TPI (or 1500 TPM) are the common twist for spun yarn. Twisted spun yarn has more strength and tenacity as compared to normal twist spun yarns.

Polyester Partially Oriented Yarn, commonly known as Polyester POY is the primary form of Polyester yarn. It is also known asPolyester Pre-Oriented Yarn. It is the first form of yarn made directly from PTA & MEG or by spinning Polyester PET Chips. POY is mainly used in texturizing to make textured yarn, also known as Polyester Drawn Textured Yarn (DTY). POY can also be used in draw warping for weaving and warp knitting of fabrics.
POY yarn is available in different lustre likeSemi-Dull POY and Bright POY. The Bright POY has the shine in it due to the cross-sections in the filaments. The fabric made from Bright POY also has the bright lustre. Polyester POY yarn is mainly available in Raw White color & is also available in various different colors. POY is usually colored by the Dope Dyed technology as it is more efficient & the yarn gets evenly colored at each & every part. Color master-batch is mixed with the raw material to make thedope dyed POY. Dope dyed POY yarn can be used to make the Dope Dyed DTY yarn.
