A whopping 12.01 ct., medium, intense, orange color with peach-reddish undertones, (looks like a top, gem quality, imperial topaz!), perfectly executed, pear, mixed cut with flower pavilion, measuring 18.64x12.9x8.32mm, eye flawless, VS type2 from the gem fields of Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. The only mine producing this particular color hessonite is approx. 40Km (25 miles) south-west of Ratnapura, and it is basically completely exhausted of gem material.

A hot, perfect pair of Burmese rubies. A great 1.46 ct. total weight, top, electric, pink-red color, excellent, round, mixed cut, measuring 5mm in diameter each, eye flawless, VS type2 from Mong Hsu, Upper Burma. During our last trip in Chantaburi (the biggest cutting center for colored stones), we saw only a parcel of Burmese rubies rounds. Extremely very scarce over 4mm rounds, these ones have a screaming, electric pink-red color with perfect scintillation and fantastic clarity.
