The unbreakable reflex glass liquid level gauge is designed for safe & positive visual indication of liquid level in vessels under high pressure & temperature conditions. The liquid chamber is one piece moulded metal body covered by glass. The light striking the glass in the liquid portion is absorbed by the liquid where as the liquid striking the glass in the vapour portion is reflected making the liquid appear as black and the vapour portion appear as white. Reflex Valves are available in screwed type only which show level of the liquid line through a special glass tube. The float chamber consists of a housing, float ball, float coil and coil enclosure. The float ball is located inside the housing and moves an attached magnetic stem up or down in an enclosure. The construction permits all high voltage connections and wiring to be made at a remote or non-hazardous location. Gravity equalization of the liquid level in the float chamber is a function of the liquid. For fluids having a high viscosity the response time will be slower. The level controller should not be used on water applications.
