Life Cycle Testing

Endurance Test:Automobiles have to function in extreme climatic conditions, battling numerous foreign substances like dew, sand, mist, UV rays and others without breaking down. Therefore vehicle components must be equipped to endure their effects and operate with optimum efficiency. We, in our sophisticated life cycle testing lab facility, provide accurate testing services to examine the degree to which automobile components can sustain the impact of these substances and climatic conditions. This activity ensures vehicle owners about the quality of products being utilized in manufacturing the vehicle. Good quality components are sturdy and strong which enable them to withstand impact from environmental and other kinds of damage. UV Light Exposure:Rapid reduction in the level of stratospheric ozone has paved the way for increased ultraviolet radiation. These radiations are not only causing damage to the environment and their beings but to electronically operated devices as well. Automobiles routinely encounter these radiations because of which their components face deterioration. It is mostly the outer body of vehicles that come in direct contact with sunlight and ultraviolet rays, and these parts are primarily made of metals and alloys. UV rays impair the protective film coated over the metallic components and fade their colour coat which exposes the bare metal to the extreme harshness of sunlight and UV radiation. In our sophisticated facility, we offer automotive life cycle testing and analysis services in which we examine the protective films in an environment by simulating UV radiations and measuring their ability to endure such a situation without incurring any substantial damage.

Vibration Testing

Vibration testing mimics the conditions that a product or structure might see during its lifetime while under a test environment. Intended to ensure that products are robust and perform safely during operation or transit, vibration testing detects performance issues and potential failures before they start. It is usually distinguished on the basis of mechanical shock testing and its application for different periods which may vary from a few minutes to weeks. Moreover, in order to produce a defined vibration, we use electromagnetic vibration exciter (aka a shaker). This helps in converting electric signals into mechanical movements which are further controlled to maintain the vibration force or level as per specified standards. Why Vibration Testing? Vibration tests are done on various equipment but there are many reasons behind the application of this test. Two of the major reasons are: Rather than the actual vibration level, the response to the vibration force is recorded in order to determine the dynamic properties of the object. Thus, we perform our best to find out the ability of the object to transmit vibration and its modes at resonance. Furthermore, at a prescribed vibration level, the vibration test is necessary to compare the transducers to be calibrated and the reference transducer. The purpose behind vibration testing Usually, the tests are held with the extremely severe vibration level ever recorded. The major purpose behind this action is to determine the stimulated life of the product by performing the test for hours, days, and even weeks. Such severe tests include Highly Accelerated Life Tests (HALT) and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) that help in reporting the units that ensure the hardness of the product to the customer, once the product survives the test without losing its expected remaining life.

Micro Biological Testing

Microorganisms in cosmetics may cause spoilage or chemical changes in the product and can possibly harm the health and beauty of the consumer. Cosmetics do not need to be sterile, but the preservatives used in them must be able to take care of harmful microbial contamination. For the manufacturer of cosmetic and personal care products, it is important to ensure that their product is free from pathogenic microorganisms and safe for consumer use. Why is Testing Required? To ensure product safetyTo foresee the microbiological risk linked to deteriorationTo assess the efficiency of antimicrobial preservationTo check the cleanliness of your productsTo check the disinfectant activity according to the AFNOR standardsMicrobiological Testing for WaterAccording to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 3.4 million people die each year from waterborne diseases, most of whom are young children. In addition, it is estimated that around 50% of the population in developing countries is suffering from some water-related disease or the other. This makes infections contracted from contaminated water supplies a leading cause of illness and death worldwide and helps to explain why the provision of safe drinking water is of such high priority for governments and aid agencies. The microbiological testing procedures use samples of water and from these samples, it determines the concentration of bacteria. It is then possible to draw inferences about the suitability of water for use from these concentrations. This process is used, for example, to routinely confirm that water is safe for human consumption or to ensure that bathing and recreational waters are safe to use.

Ultrasonic Testing Of Concrete

We offer services for testing concrete, where the velocity of ultrasonic pulses is measured and identification of cracks, voids, strength, and elasticity are checked to determine the areas which can provide the basis for recognizing the defects. The pulse velocity in a material depends on its density and its elastic properties, which in turn are related to the quality and the compressive strength of the concrete. In ultrasonic testing, very short ultrasonic pulse-waves with centre frequencies ranging from 0.1-15 MHz and occasionally up to 50 MHz are launched on the material to detect internal flaws or to characterize the material. The testing is done through methods such as Reflection and Attenuation. In reflection mode, the transducer performs both the sending and the receiving functions of the pulsed waves; as the sound is reflected back to the device. Reflected ultrasound comes from an interface, such as the back wall of the object or from an imperfection in the object. The diagnostic machine displays these results in the form of a signal with an amplitude representing the intensity of the reflection and the distance, representing the arrival time of the reflection. In attenuation mode, a transmitter sends ultrasound through one surface, and a separate receiver detects the amount that has reached it on another surface after travelling through the medium. Imperfections or other conditions in the space between the transmitter and receiver reduce the amount of sound transmitted, thus revealing their presence. Using a couplant increases the efficiency of the process by reducing the losses in the ultrasonic wave energy due to separation between the surfaces.
