These are pneumatically operated pumps. During reverse stroke grease / oil is sucked and during forward stroke grease / oil is discharged. The operation can be controlled electrically or manually. The discharge can be adjusted as per the requirement.

The Lubomatic hand pump for grease and oil has spring return piston type construct and is best for manual lubrication of light machines. The construction is very simple and is of spring return piston type.
