PINCH ROLLS comprise of non-reducing rolls that are used to redirect the travel of a Hot Rolling Mill Product and to provide tension for a downstream process. The pinch rolls perform their function without negatively effecting mill productivity or product quality. It is installed at various places in a rolling mill such as between the roughing mill and the intermediate mill, before and after the TMT Quenching Box to maintain the speed and tension of bars. It is driven through an AC / DC motor and consists of 2 Hi Gear Boxes, Solid Rolls with Carbon Shaft.
A Cantilever Type Pinch Roll has a set of rolls projected from a main body using a bridge type construction and the rolls are fixed at only one end of the machine.
With Technology Upgradation, automatic bending machine is now being used in highproduction plant of 8mm-32mm TMT bars resulting in following benefits
1. Drastic Reduction in labor.
The process of bending starts after Shearing of TMT Bars from Cold Shearing Machine installed after Cooling Bed.
After shearing of Standard 12 meter long Bundle of TMT Bars, it will get transfer to another 12 Meter Conveyor through Skid type transfer cooling Bed. The whole set of Bundles of 40-50 TMT Bars get transfer together through this cooling bed to the conveyor. The skid transfer type cooling bed consists of Chain, Dog, Sprocket and structure.
Skid Transfer Type Cooling Bed is 8+8 m = 16 Meter wide and 12 Meter long. This is a slow speed transfer system, which keeps on moving at a very slow speed and paralley labor bundles 10 kg TMT Bars which automatically gets transfer to the Delivery Roller Table through kick off system. In this Skid Transfer type Cooling Bed, the short length of TMT Bars, (which is left at the end after cutting of all 12 Meter TMT Bars), are transferred at the end time. This short length material, after reaching to the conveyor from skid transfer, is thrown out at the open space.
All rollers shall run in antifriction bearings, duly sealed to avoid ingress of water and scale.

It is installed after the flying shear and before the cooling bed to reduce the velocity of the TMT Bars. It runs through DC or AC variable Drives. The Rolls are Separated Through Pneumatic cylinder.
It consists of steel fabricated body, Pneumatic cylinder, top and bottom rocker arms and rollers.

Trolley moves on track with wheels similar to that of railway bogie. The trolley is loaded with scrap according to the capacity and driven on track. It is displaced near to the furnace with the help of electric motor and then trolley gets lifted up with the help of hydraulic and scrap is delivered to the furnace. Empty trolley is driven back to the starting point and the cycle repeats until unless the furnace is filled to the capacity.
Cooling Beds are used after the last finishing stand to receive the hot Bars/Sections.

Cassette Type Roller Guide Boxes
Twist pipe is essentially required to guide the rolled stock among passes for better yield and bare minimum deflection rate. The twist roller guides with single point symmetrical roller adjustment for optimized setting precision and prompt twisting of the rolled stock.
