A fixed gas detector, also known as a stationary gas detector or gas monitoring system, is a device that is permanently installed in a specific location to continuously monitor the presence of hazardous gases and provide alerts if gas levels exceed safe thresholds. Unlike portable gas detectors, fixed gas detectors are designed to stay in one place and are commonly used in industrial settings where gas leaks or accumulation can occur.  Fixed gas detectors consist of a control panel, gas sensors, and alarm devices. The monitoris the central unit that is responsible for receiving signals from the gas sensors, processing the data, and triggering alarms if necessary. Gas sensors are strategically placed in areas where gas leaks are likely to occur, such as near storage tanks, pipelines, or equipment. 

Gas detector tubes are small, thin, glass tubes that contain a chemical reagent. When a gas sample is drawn through the tube, the chemical reagent reacts with the gas and changes color. The length of the color change indicates the concentration of the gas in the sample. These tubes can be used as a quick and convenient way to measure the concentration of a variety of gases in the environment, including carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and ammonia, among others. With a gas detector tube, you can detect the presence of a specific gas in the atmosphere. Gas detector tubes can be used to detect flammable gases, toxic gases and oxygen. The detector tubes consist of a sealed glass tube containing reactive chemicals coated onto inert support particles. Each tube is filled with sorbent granules, which change color depending on the type of gas you’re measuring.
