Gas Detectors Tubes

Gas detector tubes are small, thin, glass tubes that contain a chemical reagent. When a gas sample is drawn through the tube, the chemical reagent reacts with the gas and changes color. The length of the color change indicates the concentration of the gas in the sample. These tubes can be used as a quick and convenient way to measure the concentration of a variety of gases in the environment, including carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and ammonia, among others. The detector tubes consist of a sealed glass tube containing reactive chemicals coated onto inert support particles. Each tube is filled with sorbent granules, which change color depending on the type of gas you’re measuring.
