The Miniature Anti-Vibration Boring Bars ( MTB C03 TO CO6 ) are used to reduce eliminate vibrations in bar due to slenderness in steel boring bars during boring internal turning operations of small diameters DIA. 3 mm to 6 mm. with MTB Holder with through coolant facility. The cutting tool is micro-grain carbide for internal Boring , Grooving and Threading applications. These carbide boring tools are gripped in MTB Holder of Dia. 20mm. The avbb reduces vibrations in boring tool and gives better cylendricity to the bore by virtue of stiffness.Following range of boring avbb bars ( boring, threading, grooving) are designed and manufactured by us .There are to types of avbb. 1) fixed type dia. 03 to dia. 300 mm.2) tuning type dia. 50 to dia. 300 mm.Following are the detailed range of avbb. A)solid carbide cutting grade avbb dia. 3 to 8 mm.B) solid carbide hank with brazed steel head of indexable insert of suitable cutting grade holder dia. 8 to 16mm.C) steel boring bar of indexable insert type shank reinforced with carbide rod dia. 8 to 100 mm.D) steel boring bar with detachable head to suite operation and reinforced shank with adjustable carbide for damping the vibrations by shifting carbide inside the shank. The anti-vibration ( avbb) tuned boring bars are used for getting chatter free bores with better cylindricity leaving uniform & less material for further super finishing operations like bore grinding, internal threading, internal grooving *etc.The avbb eliminates or minimies vibrations in boring tool only. ( the vibrations in component, fixture, tool post, slides etc. Which are beyond avbb can not be dealt by avbb.)use of avbb helps in getting precise component bore* charactaristics. Avbb saves number of passes of a boring bar for acheiving finish size.Avbb inceases tool life by vertue of stable cutting conditions.Tha use of avbb saves eliminates cost of further finishing and super finishing operation if any.Use of avbb reduces noise level at work place and helps in increasing life of machine tool and accessories with healthy working conditions.The avbb is facilitated for use of iso type tool holders with little or no modifications with addon type modular tooling adapter system.The avbb canbe used for internal = boring, threading, grooving, etc.( back boring are application related and can not be assured for avbb applications).The tunning facility helps in reducing vibrations where there are more operations and different working conditions are faced by tool due to change in comonent material, design, machine, coolant, indexable insert, etc. Such flexible processing contions can be tackled by adjusting the rigid mass inside the avbb by using tunning mechanism.
