Special Steel Wire Ropes for elevators are pre-stretched, having a controlled modulus of elasticity that provides excellent radial grip over the pulley. Special Steel Elevator Wire Ropes are designed with a larger wearing surface and construction having eight strands in the rope, with larger diameter wires in the outer most layer of the strand. This provides unparalleled resistance to the ropes, to endure the repetitive cyclic stress caused by frequent reeling and unreeling of the rope over the pulley. A hard fiber core acts as a reservoir of lubricant, thus ensuring outstanding service life and minimal maintenance.
