Our Products
We offer the best product range of Stainless Steel Wire Grid Type Resistors, Stainless Steel Punched Grid Type Resistors, Dynamic Braking Resistors and Neutral Grounding Resistors.
Stainless Steel Wire Grid Type Resistors
These Resistances Consist of corrosion resistant Stainless Steel Wire or Strips in the form of Grids. The Current rating generally ranges form 7 Amps. to 80 Amps. continuous. Higher ratings ate possible by using multiple parallel paths.
The main advantages of these resistances are reliability, compactness, light weight and relatively low cost
The terminals are easily accessible and cable box fitted as required. The terminals are made of heavily plated metal and each one is securely clamped between the grids
Stainless Steel Punched Grid Type Resistors
Speedage Punched grid resistors consists of grids punched from corrosion resisting Nickel Chromium alloy sheet steels. The inherent strength of the steel itself is very high and owing to the pressed and reinforced construction the rigidity of the grids are completely immune to shock and vibration.
These resistors are available in a wide range of current ratings form 15 Amps. to 234 Amps. continuous and the fixing dimensions and weight of various type of grids are identical, which means the different type of grids required for various steps of resistance would have identical size and mounting dimensions
To order a resistor assembly, simply obtain the motor information required for your particular requirements and contact the engineering department at the Speedage Engineers factory to design a resistor assembly for your application.
Data Requirements:
Motion (Hoist or Travel)
Secondary Voltage and Current (Rotor Voltage/RV and Rotor Current/RA)
Duty: Indoor / Outdoor
Horsepower
Type of Control Scheme (Pendent Push Button / Master Controller / Drum Controller)
Number of Speeds
DYNAMIC BRAKING RESISTORS FOR VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES
Dynamic braking resistors are used to absorb energy that is being regenerated back into a drive unit by a freewheeling motor and will release that energy in the form of heat
Neutral Grounding Resistors are used to protect power transformers, power generators and other associated equipment in your power systems against 50/60 Hz faults (short circuit) and transient phenomena (lightning).
SPECIFICATIONS
There are three parameters needed to specify the neutral grounding resistor.
1. Rated voltage line to neutral or system voltage
2. Rated fault current.
3. Rated time on of the line to neutral voltage not exceeding the allowable temperature rise.
