In 3 phase current transformers (type MI and MP3, for 5, 20, 100 or 500 AAC), the output voltage is proportional to the highest measured current. The true RMS AC current transformers - Types A82.- can be directly connected to a PLC. Small AC current metering transformers with 7 knob selectable range is suitable for most application and easy to install, for mounting on DIN rail or directly on surface by screws.
