Everyone knows burn injuries are very painful. Even the smallest burn hurt and can convert in worst wounds, if not getting immediate and proper first aid on the scene. WATER-JEL introduced water based technology that revolutionized the emergency first aid treatment of burns. Today WATER-JEL is used by EMS, industrial health and safety professional all over the world.
When a burn occurs, seconds count! Burn injuries should be cooled immediately, otherwise the heat will continue to destroy the surrounding and underlying tissue, and may progress a partial thickness (second degree) burn into a full thickness (third degree) burn injury. This, in turn, will present serious consequences for the patient and considerable extra cost for the receiving hospital/burn unit. WATER-JEL burn care products utilize thick water based and water soluble gel made of 96% water, which is proven to dissipate heat and cool burns, quickly relieve pain, help stop burns from progressing deeper into the skin and help prevent infection. They remain moist and wont stick to burn injuries. They provide thermal (not evaporative) cooling, but wont get too cold or increase the risk of hypothermia-even on large extent burns.
