Variable voltage DC Drive uses Thyristors in its power section to vary the armature voltage of a separately excited D.C. Motor to run it at a desired speed. Controls the system in variations of load temperature or supply voltage. The drive operates on 230V Ac, 50 Hz single Phase Supply. Normal Protections like overload current trip. Surge current trip, field current failure trip as well as surge suppressors are provided.
