The apparatus consists of a storage water tank, embraced by evaporator coil of the cooling unit, cooling cycle comprises of a hermetically sealed compressor, air cooled condenser, a capillary tube as expansion device and an evaporator coil. The trainer is designed for the study of features of a Water Cooler Trainer. It has a facility to measure various parameters like temperature at different points, pressure at different points, refrigerant flow rate, etc. Various measurements provided enables students to determine the theoretical and actual COP, power consumption, actual cooling capacity refrigerant flow and compressor volumetric efficiency of compressor.

DESCRIPTION:
The Window AC test rig is designed and manufactured such that the studentscan understand construction andworking of a window type air conditioner and conduct the trial on it to evaluate performance of the same.The window AC is fixed in a rigid angle frame, with its cover cut half open toreveal the internal parts of the AC. The required pressure and temperature tapings are drawn for measurement of pressures and temperatures at salient points.Energy meter is provided for recording compressor energy consumption. A sling psychomotor is provided for measurement of inlet and outlet Dry-bulb& wet bulb temperature. With the help of manometer, velocity of air and consequently the flow rate of air can be determined.

DISCRIPTION :- The test rig comprises of a Single Stage Air Compressor fitted with an air tank with orifice, pressure gauges and an energy meter to measure the input. A digital Temperature indicator measures the temperatures at various points. The compressor is mounted on air receiver along with the motor, and is provided with air relief valve (safety) and a pressure switch.
