Amino resins namely butylated urea, melamine and benzoguanamine formaldehyde resins are the dominating types of resins used in the coating industries for industrial and household appliances product finishes. They are formulated not only with alkyds but with epoxies, epoxy esters, thermosetting acrylics, polyvinyl butyrals and oil free polyester resins as well. Amino resins based finishes are designed for mass production applications as they are generally baking type, suitable to meet the demands of volume production with minimum area and time requirements.

Alkyd Resins form one of the most important group of resins used in the surface coating industry today. SYNPOL manufactures modified alkyd resins. The most common of which, are Acrylic modified alkyds, Silicone modified alkyds & Polyurethane modified alkyds.

Reactive Polyamide Resins were developed and manufactured for the first time in our country, by indigenous technical know-how. SYNPOL offers an extensive range of reactive polyamide curing agents for epoxy resins. Polyamide Resins are based on polymerized vegetable oil fatty acids and selected polyalkyl polyamines. Polyamide Resins are condensation products of dimerized fatty acids and polyamines. Reactive Polyamide Resins are semi-solid viscous fluid synthetic resins of varying amine functionality. Depending on the ratio of dimer acid polyamine content and the degree of polymerization offers a range of products suited for different applications.

Phenolic resins are an extremely important group of materials, which have reached a high degree of development. The chemistry of phenolic resin is extremely complex. Phenolic resins are derived from the addition of formaldehyde to phenols. A Para-substitued phenol (di-alcohols) when reacted with formaldehyde gives a condensation reaction which can be easily controlled.
