  Actuator Test System consists of actuator test electronics, test rig and data acquisition / analysis system. This system acquires various data from the feed back system and the control signals of the actuator and these are used for further analysis of the system. System Controls have provided effective solution for data acquisition and analysis during actuator dynamic. This is ground test equipment providing different control signals to the actuator. Safety features are provided to monitor the threshold levels of various parameters and render protection against malfunctioning.  

  The Yaw Compensator for Aerostat applications for LRDE, proposed by System Controls is based on digital servo system and associated electronics with suitable mechanical construction for mounting Radar Scanner Assembly of BFSR-SR Radar with Patch Array Antenna, to provide stable and accurate attitude/ Yaw compensated control system. The Radar Antenna Assembly suspended from Aerostat is subjected to twists/ sway and motions in the space due to surrounding wind and random Aerostat movements etc. The Yaw Compensator assembly is positioned in between the Aerostat and the Radar Scanner/Antenna to provide the requisite compensation or corrections to the Radar antenna in Azimuth axis, for movements or sway in pitch and roll axes. This correction/Compensation is required to enable the Antenna to be always positioned in the direction of target unaffected by external forces.  

The Programmable PCM Encoder Module is of PMC Form Factor, Conduction Cooled and will meet Airborne Military Ruggedization Standards. The PCM Encoder module is a PCI module with the IEEE 1386 PMC (PCI mezzanine card) form factor.   Data Acquisition involves sampling and it is mandatory that frequencies higher than half the sampling frequency be removed. This ensures that there will be no errors due to aliasing in the acquired data. Antialiasing filters hence form an essential part in data acquisition systems. In addition, mains frequency interference often poses problems in acquisition of low-level signals. System Controls has developed a multichannel antialiasing filter with cut-off frequency of 40/80 Hz and rejection at 50 Hz.   The Rate Table is a PC based programmable rate-of-turn table using sophisticated direct drive servo loop incorporating state of the art high accuracy rotary and motion simulation test features. The functions and configuration of the digital controller are fully programmable by the operator for convenience in setting the test profiles. These functional capabilities have been provided using a PC interface, which has user-friendly programs. The system is offered with a ruggedised panel incorporating the electrical control sub-system, the supervisory PC, the solid-state intelligent drive, the regulated power supply and other necessary accessories. The table houses 96 slip rings for interface to supply and signals of the test system.

The Laser Imaging System is a laser based active imaging system with additional feature of coordinate estimation of the target. The retro-reflected laser illuminated beam from the target optics will be acquired by the front end optics of the receiver and will be read by the image sensor. The video output generated from the sensor will be interfaced to a micro display with ocular and simultaneously to an external display. The final image and the target coordinates will be viewed through a monocular as well as a five inch external display, at the user’s discretion. The LASER retro-reflected spot is detected and the exact location of the reflected spot is estimated through LRF, DMC and GPS readings. All the range / coordinate information will be fused together to evaluate the target coordinates and will be displayed on the display screens. The system will have variable collimation for the laser transmitter, slaved with real time FOV of the Imaging Camera.
