Manufactured Sand as fine aggregates for Concrete & Mortars All M Sand supplied by Tavara shall consist of naturally occurring stones, gravel and sand or a combination therof. Tests were conducted to study fresh and hardened properties of the Concrete and Mortars made with river and Manufactured Sand. Following are the Results that Concluded the Test Grading limits of Manufactured Sand fell within the grading Zone-II of fine aggregates as specified in IS 383. The Shape of the Manufactured Sand particles resembled the shape of river sand particles. Bulk density and specific gravity of Manufactured Sand were comparable to those of river sand.

Manufactured Sand, most commonly M-Sand, could be termed as rock crushed to grain size distribution. In order to arrive at the grain size distribution, the coarser stone aggregates are crushed in a special rock crusher and the crushed material is washed to remove fines. The crushed sand is of cubical nature with grounded edges, washed and graded to as a construction material. The size of manufactured sand is less than 4.75 mm. Manufactured Sand is crushed in high weight programmed machine with controlled crude material feed. Manufactured Sand is ecologically agreeable and has solid restricting force when contrast with typical sand materials.
