Filter cartridge is recommended where fine filtration and complete particle retention are essential. Cartridge filter can be surface or depth-type filter: depth-type filters capture particles and contaminant through the total thickness of the medium, while in surface filters (that are usually made of thin materials like papers, woven wire, cloths) particles are blocked on the surface of the filter.

Wound filter cartridges are designed for use in the most demanding filtration duties. These cartridges are economical, compact, and easy to install and offers maintained filtration system for removal of particulates from the liquid.
