Flapper Type

Flapper Type Sight Flow Indicators Are Recommended For Horizontal And Vertical Pipe Lines Where A Positive Indication Of Flow Is Required. These Indicators Are Made From A Variety Of Materials Such As Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Or Borosilicate Glass Or Glass. Position Of The Flapper Shows The Rate Of Flow. The Flapper Is Attached To Hinge Inside The Flow Indicator. Where A Downstream Valve May Remain Closed And There Is Almost No Flow In The Pipeline, The Flapper Indicates That Flow Is Not Present. Rotary Type Sight Flow Indicators Are With Rotating Wheel Which Are Suitable For Installation In Any Position, But Are Particularly Adaptable To Lines Carrying Dark Opaque Solutions.

The Rotation Of The Wheel Is Visible Through The Glass Window Which Helps To Observe The Flow Easily. The Rotor Is Normally Constructed Of Polypropylene. It Is Specially Designed To Withstand Frequent Jolts Or Vibration During Usage. The Indicators Are Generally Installed In Vertical Lines Where Flow Is Made From A Bottom To Top.
