This control panel helps to study of phase controlled rectified dc motor drive using a full converter. Here we can operate open loop and closed loop dc motor speed control. In open loop no feedback or control action is taken. In closed the output to the drive section is controlled using a pid or proportional-integral-derivative algorithm. A pid controller attempts to correct the error between a measured process variable and a desired setpoint by calculating and then outputting a corrective action to adjust the process.
