INTRODUCTION

ENCLOSURES
Limit Switches enclosure has been designed for service under most aggressive conditions. A rubber diaphragm with a sealing ring under the push rod guide provides protection against any leakage from this direction. A ridge on the housing along with oil resistant rubber gasket under the cover prevents oil and water seepage. External mounting holes further ensure oil tightness. The enclosure complies with IP65 protection requirement.
OPERATION
An ingenious design of the limit switch head permits rotation in steps of 90 thus enabling use of the actuating rod from any of the four directions Limit Switch are available with straight as well as angular roller levers. Straight lever is used with horizontal actuator while angular lever for vertical actuator.
CONNECTIONS
Terminals are suitable for straight end connections for two wires of equal or different sizes.
HIGH ACCURACY
Close tolerances for push rod guide and contract bridge lead to very high level of accuracy. Position of contacts for the Limit Switches maintained within very fine tolerances even after a large number of operations.
APPLICATIONS
For optimum utilisation of TEKMECLimit Switches, appropriate application is very important.
*Applied force should not be excessive. *Roller Lever should not be in opposition to the actuating movement.* Push Rod speeds upto 1M/sec are permitted in the direction of stroke. * Speed of moving contacts should not be less than 0.015 M/sec for DC* For lower operating speeds, use snap action switches.*Avoid installing Limit Switches in locations subject to heavy vibrations. * Actuator angle can be upto 45 with roller lever with actuationin the direction of roller level.
CONTACT BLOCKS
Contact Block has 1NO & 1NC contact. Contact Blocks can be used as a limit switch by itself in control cabinets and other similar applications. If desired, a transparent cover can be provided over the contact to protect against the dust settling on the contacts. Three types of Contact Blocks are available:
Normal:for relatively quick operation.
Snap Action:for slow operation
The contacts are made from special silver alloy which ensures satisfactory operationeven atlow voltages. Contacts are rated at 10 Amp

The availability of two separate models of contact blocks-rear wire connection type for panel mounting application and front wire connection type for base mounted and other features make them an ideal choice for panels, control desks, control stations, machine tools etc.
These devices generally comply with the requirement of IS/IEC : 60947-5-1 (2003).

Push Buttons & Selector Switches are available in Chrome Plated Metallic body & Bezel as well as in Glass filled thermoplastic body & bezel and are functionally interchangeable. The elements are interchangeable and can be stacked without additional hardware, 1 to 4 element (NO or NC) can be used with Push Buttons and Selector Switches. For illuminated Push Buttons 1 or 2 element (NO or NC) may be used. The Pilot Lights and illuminated switches are suitable for direct supply or supply through series resistor, using bayonet cap filament bulb type BA-9S for both AC/DC supply from 6V to 230V. Indicating Lights with switching device and integral LED modules can be directly mounted on panel and rated voltage can be directly applied to the module input. These are available in Standard and barrel type enclosure in Thermoset (DMC) and Thermoplastic housing for AC/DC and AC or DC supply.
SIGUT TERMINATION
This unique feature is highly safety oriented. It increases safety to the
user by preventing accidental contact by the user with live terminals.
COMPACT 22.5mm DIAMETER
The smaller mounting diameter reduces mounting space by 30% as compared to conventional 30.5mm design.
ENERGY SAVER
22.5mm devices require lamp with 2/2.6W instead of 7 to10 Watt Lamps used in30.5mm devices. This results in energy saving.
MOUNTING
Screw driver is required for fixing these devices on to panelhaving thickness of 1 to 6mm in any position. The whole assembly is locked into position with the help of two M4 pointed screw on the bracket. These screws also ensure the earthing.We recommend fixing centres as per standard. The Screws should be tightened simultaneously to an extent as to pierce through the paint on the panel from inside.

DESIGN
TEKMEC Switches have different switching stages with double pair of contacts. Each pair consists of two fixed contact plates and one movable contact plate. The rotation is provided by movement of slide. The slide rests on a CAM disc. This CAM disk has grooves according to the sequential operation rotated by switch handle through a hexagonal shaft.

The cutout for ammeter will be covered with clear glass. Padlocking facility for the Stop Push button can be provided on the front plate if specified.Neoprene Gasket will be provided. TERMINALS Clip on/ Cage Clamp/ Cat M3 type terminals blocks suitable for connection of 1.5/2.5/4 mm sq.aluminium copper conductors. Terminal design ensure vibration-proof connections.
