Our Products
Mica (from the Latin micare, meaning 'to shine') is a naturally occurring sheet silicate which is non-toxic and non-carcinogenic. Muscovite mica, one of its common forms, is extracted by PMC from its Bhavani Shankara Mine and processed at the in-house plant to produce a wide range of mica products meeting international specifications and catering to the demands of a large number of industries worldwide.
PREMICA, the signature brand of PMC is identified with quality, reliability and a tradition of excellence, for over half a century. ThePREMICArange includes the following mica products, catering to the needs of the global market:
PMC sources its silica sand from the Nellore silica zone which is a pure deposit with low clay content. Our silica is processed and made into grades with precise specification, packaged ready to use at end users site.
The latest addition to PMCs list of minerals is Garnet Almandine. This is mined at PMCs own Sri Venkata Sai Mines, located in Nellore Dist. AP. Almandine Garnet (sometimes wrongly referred to as Almandite) is twelve sided crystal. It is a very hard material with a Mohs Scale hardness of 6.5 to 7.5.
This garnet is not got from beach sands like most other garnets in India and so is very eco-friendly. When garnet is mined from beach sand, large areas of the beach gets polluted and spoilt.
Garnet is a very safe and eco-friendly material which can be used in various applications.
As a medium for sand blasting, Garnet is the preferred over Silica Sand, Quartz and metal slag. Garnet can be reused several and is non-polluting. And the fine dust produced during blasting is not carcinogenic like it is for Silica Sand or quartz.

We are the main supplier of this product.
Premica Range of Dry Ground Mica Powders are processed in hammer mills with built in classifiers. Particle sizes are controlled by additional sieving and blending operations. PMC has developed and supplies the worlds leading fiction product manufacturers with proprietary Dry Ground Mica products. General particle range of this grade is between 800 and 70 microns. |
PREMICAmica blocks are fabricated into a myriad range of products having numerous applications in diversified fields. We currently produce mica products like mica washers, electronic components like transistor and capacitor parts, window mica, corrugated mica and a whole range of other mica-based components and accessories designed to meet every requirement of our clients. |
Aggregates are a blend of two or more grades of sand having a different particle size distribution and characteristics. When these different types are blended in a correct proportion the resulting product will have a unique characteristic and a correct matrix of particles that provide extra strength and better troweling properties. These aggregates are used in seemless floorings systems. |
The silica sand from the southern state Andhra Pradesh in India, where PMC sources its silica sand from, has been approved by the largest glass manufacturer in the world, due to its purity (Silica content - 99.8%). This same grade can be supplied by PMC.
PMC can source feldspar from the large pegmatite deposits in the Gudur mining area. Soda and Potash Feldspar, either as lump or powder can be supplied against a specific requirement of the Ceramic industry.
