Camphor oil is the oil extracted from the wood of camphor trees and processed by steam distillation. It can be used topically to relieve pain, irritation, and itching. Camphor is also used to relieve chest congestion and inflammatory conditions. It has a strong odor and taste and is easily absorbed through the skin. Camphor oil exhibits a number of biological properties such as insecticidal, antimicrobial, antiviral, anticoccidial, anti-nociceptive, anticancer and antitussive activities, in addition to its use as a skin penetration enhancer.

Camphor Essential Oil is derived from the Cinnamomum camphora botanical name and is also referred to as True Camphor, Common Camphor, Gum Camphor, and Formosa Camphor.

There are 4 grades of Camphor Essential Oil: White, Brown, Yellow, and Blue. Only the White variety is used for aromatic and medicinal purposes.
Used in aromatherapy, Camphor Oil’s scent is known to offer relief to a congested respiratory system by clearing the lungs and addressing symptoms of bronchitis and pneumonia. It also boosts circulation, immunity, convalescence, and relaxation.

Citriodora or Lemon eucalyptus is a jewel in the crown of the Eucalyptus family, Myrtaceae. The essential oil of Citriodora is extracted from the elongated leaves of the lemon-scented gum tree, botanically known as Eucalyptus citriodora by steam distillation.
Eucalyptus citriodora essential oil is powerful fungicidal and bactericidal, and a valuable asset when treating athletes foot. It is also effective against a wide range of respiratory conditions such as asthma, sinusitis, phlegm, coughs and colds, as well easing sore throats and laryngitis. Vaporized, lemon eucalyptus oil has a reviving and refreshing action that uplifts, yet is also calming to the mind.

Citriodora is a lemon scented essential oil especially used in perfumery and fragrance creation, being excellent for smelly shoes, cooking smells and pets. Bath, compress, inhalation, aromatherapy diffuser, local wash, massage and as a perfume in cupboards.
It is used as an ingredient in some mouthwash and dental preparations.
The oil is found in numerous over-the-counter cough and cold lozenges as well as in inhalation vapors or topical ointments.
