Chondroitin Sulfate is a creamish colour powder formed naturally by the body for the synthesis and maintenance of connective tissue. It functions as a component of proteoglycans (found throughout the human body, forming the intricate extracellular matrix). They are basically carbohydrate-rich structure with a central protein rod with many strings of glucosamine-containing glycosaminoglycans extending outward and they get linked to collagen fibres to form connective tissues. The manufacturing of Chondroitin sulfate is usually manufactured from animal sources, such as shark and cow cartilage.

• It has anti-inflammatory effects leading to pain and inflammation relief in osteoarthritis and related autoimmune diseases that affect the joints.

  • It is a component Dermal Regeneration Template, which is a skin substitute consisting of a dermal layer (bovine collagen and chondroitin sulfate) and an epidermal silicone layer. Its a bilayer membrane system for skin replacement. Its primary use is for the treatment of burns.
