Iron(III)-hydroxide polymaltose complex (IPC) is an iron preparation with non-ionic Iron and Polymaltose in a stable complex. Conventional iron salts contain iron in ferrous form, Iron Polymaltose Complex contains iron in ferric form, thus preventing the formation of free radicals. It has rapid absorption, high rate of iron utilization, effective haemoglobin production and excellent gastro-intestinal tolerance.
