Polycarbonate panels have a much cleaner and fresher look as compared to fiberglass. When exposed to time and elements, fiberglass will start looking dull relatively faster. Polycarbonate maintains its clean look and strength irrespective of the type of or number of modifications made to it. Many people, considering polycarbonate as plastic, doubt its capability and strength. But, what they dont know is that this polymer is created through the chemical reaction of BPA and COCl2, and is so strong that it is used in making bulletproof windows. Thus, strength and durability are two desirable qualities of polycarbonate. In fact, it has a tensile strength of 900 pounds per square inch, as compared to fiberglasss 220 pounds!
