Sugarcane planting is tedious & time consuming. Tractor drawn sugarcane planter performs jobs of Furrow opening, Sett cutting, Seed treatment, Fertilizer Application, Sett Placement and Compaction all in one pass reducing time and labor cost. The one row sugarcane planter consists of cutter Box, Fungicide tank, fertilizer box, furrow closing shovels and compaction roller. The whole seed canes are stacked on the machine. Knives are fixed on the counter rotating rollers which are driven by the tractor power take off shaft. The canes are cut into setts of pre-determined length. The cut setts fall in the middle of the furrow. The setts are then covered with soil by the shovels provided at the back of the machine and compacted by the roller.
