Single Effect Evaporator

Single Effect Evaporator
Single effect evaporator contained a single vertical cylinder. In the centre of the cylinder there is a steam heating section, with pipes passing through it in which the evaporating liquors rise. At the top of the cylinder, there are baffles, which allow the vapours to escape but check liquid droplets that may accompany the vapours from the liquid surface. Short tube (batch) evaporator used for final concentration of syrup. In glucose making companies carbon treated & pre-concentrated glucose syrup is passed through single effect evaporator to obtain 8586% solids glucose syrup. This happens under vacuum and vapor is extracted and condensed in a barometric condenser. This range of evaporator is tailor-made to fit the plant capacity.

Force Circulation Evaporator

Force Circulation Evaporator
Forced circulation evaporators are used for high viscous products this evaporator can be used in combination to achieving higher concentration. Product liquid is pumped through heat exchanger tubes at high velocity and creating turbulence to achieved good heat transfer rate, the product is passed through the separator for separation of vapors and vapors' are condensate in condenser.

Falling Film Evaporator

Falling Film Evaporator
A falling film evaporator is used in industries to concentrate liquid especially heat sensitive materials In this type of evaporators the liquid is feed from the top of the evaporator design of the product distribution system in the evaporator is such that the product wetting of the tubes should be full and evenly. The product is distributed into the heating tubes in a form of thin layer and it flows downwards at boiling temperature and start evaporating. The product and the vapors goes into the separator where the both is separated and vapors is forwarded to next effect. This type of evaporators can be operated with very low temperature differences between the heating media and the liquid. The effect of this type evaporator depends of the capacity and type of product. While designing number of effect is calculated considering steam economy and cost.

Batch Evaporator

Batch Evaporator

Batch Evaporator comprises of a falling film short tube (batch) evaporator used for final concentration of glucose syrup. Final carbon treated & pre-concentrated glucose syrup is passed through single effect evaporator to obtain 8586% solids glucose syrup. This happens under vacuum and vapor is extracted and condensed in a barometric condenser. This range of evaporator is tailor-made to fit the plant capacity.
