We offer the best product range of Flat Spiral Springs and Torsion Springs.

Flat Spiral Springs

Our custom-designed Flat Spiral, Power and Constant Force Springs are produced in a wide variety of sizes from a wide assortment of materials that are non-magnetic, high temperature and high fatigue. Size range is 0.003 to 0.250 thickness, and 0.125 x 3.50 wide. These types of springs store and release energy in the form of torque. Applications Flat Coil, Power and Constant Force springs are utilized in the AutomotiveTransportation industry, Aerospace & Defense, Medical, Industrial, DurableCommercial Goods and Electronics markets in a variety of applications: Rewind devicesOffice equipmentMotorsGeneratorsCounterbalancesDoor closersElectrical switchgearHome dcorRetracting devicesPoint of purchase displaysFlat spiral springs are also known as spiral torsion, clock springs or brush springs. They are characterized by the requirement that the coil contact is minimized during operation. Springs are designed to customer requirements and are used in the automotive, medical, industrial and office equipment markets. Power springs (also known as Recoil springs or Motor springs) store and release rotational energy in the form of torque. Spiral-wound flat metal strips are available in a wide range of sizes and attachment methods for gas-powered lawn and garden equipment, mechanical motors, counter-balance mechanisms, reel returns and rewind devices. Divisional Specialties Supply complete spring assembliesSupply as sub-assembliesWind directly into customer supplied housingsComplete torque testing capabilitiesOur plants are third-party certified to AS9100, ISO9001 or TS16949 and ISO 14001 depending on the markets serviced. How to Specify: A blueprint or sketch is the best way to specify your custom power or flat spiral spring. Torsion Springs

Torsion springs, double torsion springs, torque coils and clutch springs are used to apply torque or store rotational energy. The two most common types are single and double-bodied springs. Torsion springs, torque coils and clutch springs are generally mounted around a shaft or arbor and must be supported at three or more points. Various kinds of ends are available to facilitate mounting. These parts can be manufactured from round, square or various shaped material cross sections. Torque Coils and Clutch Springs there are many variations of the spring clutch to achieve the designers goal of function, reliability and cost. All are based on the principle of utilizing the clutch spring to engage or disengage the driver and driven member by a change in spring diameter. This clutching action may be achieved by the spring either expanding or contracting to link the two members. Our custom torsion springs, torque coils & clutch springs can be found in counterbalance mechanisms, ratchets and various types of machine components. Associated Spring facilities are third-party certified to AS9100, ISO9001 or TS16949 and ISO 14001 depending on the markets serviced. Need a Quote?
