DME custom designs universal bellows expansion joints according to the Expansion Joint Manufacturers Association. This type of joint is generally designed to absorb large amounts of lateral deflection and possibly a small amount of axial compression. The universal bellows expansion joint has the ability to absorb motion in multiple planes makes it an ideal expansion joint for systems where the main anchors are not practical. Other applications include tank settlement and seismic building separations.
