3M Aluminum Shielding Tape 1170 has a 2.0-mil smooth aluminum foil backing with a conductive acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive and liner. Aluminum is an alternative conductive backing material to copper. 3M 1170 EMI Shielding Tape is an easily die-cut, solderable 2-mil aluminum foil tape with conductive adhesive for EMI shielding and static charge draining when grounded. Acrylic adhesive has good resistance to heat, oxidation, solvents and oils. UL 510 flame-retardant. It is ideally suited for a variety of EMI shielding applications including shielding cables for motors, cables, cabinets and components.

Easily die-cut, solderable 1.4 mil smooth tin-plated copper foil tape has a conductive adhesive on liner. Its acrylic adhesive has good resistance to heat, oxidation, solvents and oils. This 1.4 mil tape is a smooth tin-plated copper foil with a conductive acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive on liner. 3M EMI Shielding Tape 1183 is oxidation resistant for excellent long term EMI shielding, static charge draining, grounding; solderable; easily die cut. This tape is amber with a 1 mil polyimide film backing with a silicone adhesive system for exceptional heat resistance, and may be applied at very low temperatures. 3M polyimide film tapes are specially designed for high-temperature applications requiring a thin puncture-resistant backing. The physical and electrical properties of polyimide remain stable when used in such applications as coils, harnesses and capacitors, that are subjected to extreme temperatures.
