  • Maximum Operating Temperature 1800 ºF 982 ºC
  • Compressive Strength at 10% Deformation 450 psi 3103 kPa
  • Flexural Strength 260 psi 1793 kPa
  • Sheet Size 4 x 8 ft 1.22 x 2.44 m
temp boards are inorganic, incombustible Calcium Silicate structural insulation boards. They feature a xonalite structure that results in exceptional strength and extremely low water of hydration. The materials are composed primarily of lime, silica, and reinforcing fibers. The product is white, essentially dust-free, and contains no asbestos. Ultratemp is available in thicknesses from 12" to 3" in 48" x 96" sheets, or cut-to-size as needed. Ultratemp materials should be specified when the following properties are required:Thermal shock resistance and stabilityConsistently low thermal conductivityHigh structural strength at elevated temperaturesIncombustibleElectrical insulating properties when dryEasily machinableInsoluble in water and non-corroding

Marinite - Calcium Silicate Insulation Boards

  • Density 46 lb/ft³ 737 kg/m³
  • Maximum Operating Temperature 1400 ºF 760 ºC
  • Compressive Strength at 5% Deformation 1000 psi 70 kg/cm²
  • Modulus of Rupture 800 psi 56 kg/cm²
  • Moisture Content Normal 3 % of Dry Weight
Marinite structural insulations are monolithic, incombustible and non-asbestos, and are available in several compositions and densities. Composed of Tobermorite calcium silicate, Marinite is available in thicknesses ranging from 14" to 3" and are easily fabricated from 48 x 96 sheets. The diverse selection of boards are produced by chemically reacting formulations of silica, lime, and reinforcing fibers followed by hydraulic pressure and various forms of curing and heat treating. The resultant boards exhibit the following properties:Thermal shock resistance and stabilityConsistently low thermal conductivity High structural strength at elevated temperatures Incombustible Electrical insulating properties when dry Easily machinable Insoluble in water and non-corroding
