For example, turbo housings undergo an oven-baked process to remove carbon deposits and debris that, if not thoroughly removed, can result in early component failure. JASPER maintains a precise surface finish of 35 RA or better on turbo bearing housing journals in order to assure smooth operation. Turbos also receive all new bearings, rings and thrust collars, and all qualified parts are thoroughly inspected to ensure correct tolerances. A core balancer and state of the art component balancer are used in the remanufacturing process of every turbocharger. These processes provide exact component balance in order to assure optimum turbocharger performance and life.
