The refrigerant passes from the condenser to the evaporator, where it is expanded at the evaporator outlet. It is thus cooled down to a temperature below that of the ambient air. The evaporation of the refrigerant has a cooling effect on the components. As a result, heat and moisture are absorbed from the cabin air.
