ePTFE Membrane membrane pic2 ePTFE membrane offers superior performance compared to most other plastics with regard to chemical & bio inertness, temperature range, UV resistance, electrical and heat insulation properties. Applications can range from filtration to medical to apparel. Phillips can produce very thin membrane (110th mil) or laminated sheets of membrane to over 0.500. Fibril IND of less than 0.3 micron to 50 micron can also be produced. Because ePTFE membrane applications usually require a high degree of customization regarding physical properties, it is usually advisable to have some consultation with Phillips technical team to establish physical parameters workable for your specific situation.
