Both the purple and green silk fabrics, and the purple and green metallic thread in the embroidery designs are iridescent - the colors change with the angle of viewing and the angle of light (making this very difficult to photograph!) Paper-pieced from black cotton sateen and shot silk fabrics; Hobbs Black 8020 batting; OESD machine embroidery designs. Embroidered with Softlight iridescent metallic embroidery thread, quilted with Superior Kimono silk thread.
