Not only do we turn copper alloy materials to tolerances of +-.0002″ we also provide secondary finishes such as painting and powder coating of connector housing and chassis. We have helped several Interconnection companies reverse engineer complete interconnect Electrical Connectors and assemblies. Understanding the needs of hermetically sealed components such as consistent finished for bonding or critical finished for O rings grooves makes Telemark a first choice for some of these component manufactures. Our Swiss machining of high tech insulating material such as Torlon, Kapton, Ultem, Teflon and Delrin and unsurpassed. Split ring insulators and micro miniature copper connections require ultra sharp tooling which we custom manufacture in house. Using Swiss technology, Telemark has cutting tools and machining capabilities down to the micro level.

Special alloys such as this tungsten accelerator mass, and high performance alloys such as Inconel for cryogenic valve bodies, are just a few of the special alloys we’ve worked with giving us in-depth machining experience. These experiences coupled with our expertise with Six Sigma give us an advantage over other shops when new alloys are introduced.

Milling 15-5 Stainless Steel can be challenging in itself. In the case of this Aerospace Stud Plate we achieved single operation milling with tolerances of +0.0000 – 0.0005” on a 9 up plate of parts. In addition we met our customer’s tough specification of +-0.0005” on the stud and accomplished full threads to the complete bottom of the deep hole using a thread milling application on a CNC lathe.

Swiss Screw machine is a bit of misnomer in that many products other than screws are produced using this method. At Telemark the CNC Swiss method includes 7 axis machining with combined turning and milling in the same machine. This method proves to be more precise then conventional machining and often results in a reduction in cycle time and a savings to our customers. The above precision stainless steel pin was produced for the US NAVY, complete on a single machine with a single operation and we held the tolerance of +-0.0001” for over 8, 000 parts. No need for secondary feed grinding.

When we were first approached to do powder coating for one of our customers we looked to outside services, but found that most sources were not equipped to do Precision Components. So, we developed our own internal processes and later transferred our knowledge to one of our local trusted suppliers. Now we have both In-house and controlled subcontracted services for quick turnaround and high volume production. The result�over 10, 000 connector housings and counting. The same control and precision is true for our Painting, Plating and Thermal Spray Services. We offer a wide range of finish applications. To complement superior finishes we have to also consider packaging and storage of product. We often find that using recyclable plastic packaging and traditional egg crates the go to choice in product protection. However, we can accommodate your custom packaging needs at surprising low costs.
