Preparation

Preparing the feed
Please follow preparation and feeding instructions carefully; failure to do so may make your baby ill.
1 Wash hands and sterilise all equipment thoroughly
2 Boil freshly run water and leave to cool for 30 minutes. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.
3 Measure the required amount of water into a feeding bottle or beaker (refer to the feeding guide). (Note: this formula mixes slightly better if prepared in a bottle to a beaker after mixing. The milk can be transferred from the bottle to a beaker after mixing).
4 Using the scoop provided add the correct number of scoops of powder - 1 level scoop of powder - 1 level scoop of powder to each fluid ounce of water (approx 30ml). Level off the powder with the back of a clean dry knife, do not press the powder.
5 If prepared in a bottle, replace lid and shake vigorously until all the powder has dissolved and then transfer into a clean beaker. If preparing in a beaker, stir well with a clean fork until the powder has dissolved.
6 Cool to drinking temperature (approx 37C) by holding the bottle or beaker under cold running water. Always test the temperature of the milk before feeding.

Toddlers from approximately 12 months onwards need about 500ml of HiPP Organic Growing Up Milk per day, either as a drink, on cereals or added to other foods. This is only a guide and your toddler may need more or less than this. If you require more advice, please consult your health professional.

Important Feeding Information
Only use the scoop provided in the pack
Do not make feeds weaker or stronger than indicated by adding extra water/scoops, and do not add anything else to milk feeds
For hygiene reasons, always freshly prepare feeds and do not prepare in advance. Use made up feeds within 2 hours of preparation
Do not heat feeds in a microwave, hot spots may occur which could cause scalding
Introduce a cup or beaker as soon as possible to prevent prolonged/frequent contact of teeth with milk feeds which may increase the risk of tooth decay
Use sachet within 3 weeks of opening

Important Notice
Breastfeeding is best for babies. HiPP Organic Growing Up Milk is intended for use from the 12th month as part of a mixed diet and should not be used as a breastmilk substitute. HiPP Organic Growing Up Milk is recommended for use after any other follow on milk, and should only be introduced earlier if advised by a health professional, based on the infant's specific nutritional needs.
