Rulon AR is a derivative of the original Rulon A material, and continues the tradition of chemical resistance and long wear, plus reliability for continuous, non-lubricated service. Maroon in color, Rulon AR is ideal for seals and the bonded coatings of slide surfaces. You’ll find AR in many automotive applications such as shaft seals and piston cups for gas meters, or anywhere where high physical properties are in demand. With a PV value of up to 10, 000, (higher for intermittent use), Rulon AR can be designed to extruded shapes, molded parts, and machined parts.

Composed solely of FDA-compliant materials, Rulon 1337 can easily withstand the chemical washdown procedures required of the food processing and pharmaceutical industries. It has unique physical and chemical properties, offers extended life, and low abrasion against softer mating surfaces. And it works well with most natural lubricants for additional friction reduction.

Rulon 1045 delivers the unique ability to elongate in a flip seal application for enhanced sealing efficiency. It also gives excellent friction resistance and is compatible with most commercial lubricants. And its low-deformation properties allow it to easily adapt to sliding surface bearing applications.

One of the original Rulon compounds, Rulon J is a reinforced material that combines the best in wear and friction properties with superior value. Gold colored, Rulon J uses a unique filler that adds temperature stability for enhanced wear. It is considered a “shaft-friendly” compound and operates well against soft mating surfaces such as 316 stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, brass and other plastics.
