C8 eLED L2 Rechargeable UK has updated one of its classic lights, the bestselling C8 eLED, to a new L2 version capable of a massive 1200 lumens. This rechargeable light is one of the brightest, most reliable dive lights on the market. A dual power mode that easily toggles from high to low helps conserve battery when not in use. The rechargeable NiMH battery is airline safe, and can be carried in your checked luggage, unlike lithium batteries which are restricted by many airlines. The NiMH battery pack is the same kind used by hybrid vehicles like the Prius, and will last up to 10 years. UK has also introduced its new patented optics system, which focuses about 90% of the lumen output of the light into the center of the beam. This reduces backscatter and greatly improves beam brightness by cutting down on stray light. Many other lights out there report high lumen output, but much of those lumens are lost to the periphery as stray light and does not contribute to brightness - a problem impressively solved by UK's beam optics system.
