Fiberfrax Bulk Ceramic Fiber

Fiberfrax Refractory ceramic fibers are a family of high temperature fibers designed to be used in a variety of industrial and commercial applications. Manufactured from alumina-silica materials these fibers offer such characteristics as high temperature stability, low thermal conductivity, low heat storage, excellent thermal shock resistance, light weight, and superior corrosion resistance. Fiberfrax Refractory ceramic fibers exhibit thermal stability at temperatures up to 1260C (2300F). Fiberfrax Refractory ceramic fibers are available in a variety of chemistries and diameters which can service a wide variety of applications. In addition, these fibers can be further modified by chopping or by removal of the unfiberized particles (called shot). Lubricants can also be added to the fiber to enhance fiber properties.

Saffil Fibers

Saffil Alumina Fibers are high-purity polycrystalline fibers designed for use in applications up to 1600C. Since their development in the early 1970s, Saffil Fibers have been used successfully to solve problems in demanding high-temperature insulation and many other specialty applications. LA, HA and HX Fibers Introduction LA & HA Fibers are processed to give the finished product exceptional resistance to shrinkage and chemical attack at high temperature, while maintaining excellent resilience characteristics. HX Fiber is processed to ensure that a high level of Alumina is converted into the extremely thermally stable alpha Alumina phase. This fiber is the most chemically resistant in the Saffil family of products.
